Space Cowboy - Ethiopia

We taste juicy-sweet notes of blueberry jam, grape Capri Sun, and rosé wine

Space Cowboy is a gorgeously fruit-forward natural-process Ethiopian. This Major Tom(cat) is a bit surprising, kinda different, and totally eye-opening. We like to think of it at the David Bowie of coffees. 

Sourced from the Yirgacheffe region of Ethiopia, this coffee was grown by Mrs. Tigest Wako. Mrs. Tigest is a member of the Cafe Imports/Lulo Small Farmers Project, which helps ensure transparency and allows producers more control over pricing and contracts. Her farm is planted with heirloom Ethiopian varieties. During harvest season, ripe cherries are carefully hand picked, sorted, and then placed on raised beds where they are turned and dried in the sun. This style of processing (called “natural”) generally yields a complex and choco-fruity cup. We love it when we find naturals like this one - sweet, balanced, and not overly zingy.
