Santa Rita Do Xicão - Brazil
We taste sultry notes of sangria, peach, and honeysuckle
Fazenda Santa Rita do Xicão is located in São Gonçalo do Sapucaí, Minas Gerais, Brazil, and is managed by Raquel Meirelles, a 30-year-old, fourth-generation coffee grower. Raquel learned the intricacies of coffee farming from her father at an early age, and in 2021 she took the helm of her family’s farm. Raquel aims to produce high-quality, sustainable coffee, and it seems like she's doing just that - she recently placed 3rd in the Brazil Cup of Excellence competition!
This coffee features those vibrant, fruity, wine-forward notes that are typical of anaerobic naturals, but it's got a depth and balance to it that round out the high notes and makes for a fun yet very drinkable cup.
